Partnership Working
Do you have a multi-agency partnership that isn’t working as effectively as it could? As an independent specialist, I can help you review your current arrangements, streamline your meetings and introduce new governance structures. I can also help you set up new partnerships or merge existing ones. Check out my experience below.
I have developed and worked within a variety of multi-agency partnerships involving the public, private and voluntary sectors. For example, I have:
- Led the first national merger of community safety partnerships. The systems and processes that I established were included as best practice in Home Office guidance.
- Supported a partnership of universities and health providers to establish a regional health care team training network – the Health Care Team Training Network (West Midlands).
- Brought together the 14 local authorities in the wider West Midlands area to agree a shared approach to their statutory child protection procedures.
- Established a number of new formal partnerships including the Safer Worcester Partnership and the South Worcestershire Community Safety Partnership as well as a wide range of partnership working groups to support specific projects.
- Set up a joint commissioning unit, including obtaining agreement from a large local authority and Primary Care Trust to release £55 million into a pooled budget.
- Undertaken a review of the multi-agency governance of a major change programme in health and supported them to introduce new, and more effective, arrangements.
- Successfully delivered the NHSE Quickstart GP Improvement Programme in GP Practices across Birmingham and Warwickshire, bringing staff with different roles together to develop new ways of working.
- Facilitated the development of sustainable partnership strategies for both community safety and extended services, successfully sourcing funding for the projects within these strategies.
